01 / NUTRITIONFollow the puppy-specific feeding plan
The buyer agrees to provide fresh water and age-appropriate nutrition on the schedule recommended at go-home, with additional feeding precautions when a very small puppy requires them.
02 / INDOOR COMPANIONProvide a safe indoor home
The dog must not be routinely housed outdoors, chained, or left in an exterior kennel as a primary living arrangement. Chihuahua puppies require protection from heat, cold, escape, and predators.
03 / SUPERVISIONProtect against falls, crushing injuries, and larger animals
The buyer agrees to supervise contact with children and larger pets and to prevent unsafe jumping from high beds, furniture, balconies, or stairs. Ramps, steps, gates, or pens may be appropriate in the home.
04 / OUTDOOR SAFETYNever leave a tiny dog unattended outside
Small dogs can slip through surprisingly narrow gaps and are vulnerable to loose dogs, wildlife, and birds of prey. Outdoor time must be supervised in a secure area appropriate for the dog's size.
05 / VETERINARY CAREEstablish care promptly
The buyer agrees to complete the post-placement examination required by the Health Guarantee and to maintain routine veterinary care thereafter.
06 / TRAININGUse humane, consistent handling
The buyer agrees to use patient, humane training and socialization methods and to avoid physical punishment or handling that could injure or frighten a small dog.
PUBLIC EXPOSUREProtect the puppy while immunity is still developing.
Until your veterinarian advises that the puppy is adequately protected, avoid dog parks, pet-store floors, public relief areas, and direct contact with unknown dogs.
