Every puppy develops at a different pace.
We pay attention to appetite, growth, confidence, social development, size, and readiness rather than treating every puppy as if the same schedule fits all.
A family-centered Chihuahua program built on experience, careful development, clear records, and thoughtful placement.
The health of our breeding dogs is an important part of every breeding decision we make. Our dogs receive breed-appropriate health screening, with particular attention to the conditions identified as important in Chihuahuas.
The Chihuahua Club of America recommends screening breeding Chihuahuas for patellar luxation, cardiac disease, and inherited eye conditions. We maintain health records for our breeding dogs and make applicable testing documentation available to prospective families.
Additional genetic and veterinary screening may also be completed based on the individual dog and our veterinarian's recommendations. As OFA-registered results become available, individual health-testing information and verification will be included with each dog's profile.
Cheralyn Smith has been breeding Chihuahuas . Our approach centers on close observation, age-appropriate care, clear communication, and matching each puppy to a home prepared for the realities of a toy-breed companion.
We pay attention to appetite, growth, confidence, social development, size, and readiness rather than treating every puppy as if the same schedule fits all.
Chihuahuas are deeply people-oriented dogs. We value confident, affectionate temperaments and appropriate early social experiences.
Families receive applicable care and health records, written agreements, registration information when included, and puppy-specific instructions.
Applications are reviewed for household fit, care capacity, experience, and preferences. A reservation is confirmed only after the required written steps are complete.
We do not treat “teacup” or “micro” as separate recognized Chihuahua varieties, and we do not guarantee adult weight. When a puppy is especially small, we use additional screening and may require a later go-home date, more frequent feeding, closer supervision, and an established emergency-care plan.
